Do you offer outdoor sessions?

Yes.  In fact Mark Sykes Photography is the only studio in Bryan / College Station with an exclusive private portrait park and lake.  Our outdoor facilities offer a rustic barn and cedar cabin facade, gazebo, antique gas station, small bridge covered with evergreen vines and natural surroundings.  You may take a tour of our portrait park by clicking here, or give us a call and we will be happy to give you a live tour.



Do you have an indoor studio?

Yes.  Our indoor studio offers hundreds of background possibilities to match your style, clothing and vision for your indoor portraits. We also offer a large selection of props.  Just tell us what you are looking for and we will be happy to help.



Can we bring our own props?

Yes.  In fact we encourage it!  The more props you bring from home, the more personal your portrait will be.



Do you offer sessions on the weekends?

When available, we do offer sessions on Saturdays.  Weekend rates apply.  Sessions after normal business hours are also available – call for details.  We are close on Sundays, Mondays, and most major holidays.



I'm looking to have portraits done of my baby and then some with siblings and a family portrait. Can you do that?

Sure!  Our sessions include up to one full hour allowing plenty of time to create numerous portraits for you.  You may also elect to change outfits.  Our sessions are limited only by how much time the children will give us.  We remind all of our parents, despite our best laid plans, the children are who is in control of the session, lol.



I need to have my child's portrait made, but I don't know what I want. Can you help?

Of course, we would be happy to.  Mark often receives calls from parents who need help coming up with the perfect session idea.  When you call to schedule your child’s session Mr. Mark is always more than happy to help.  PLANNING is the key to a successful portrait. Schedule a consultation with Mr. Mark to answer all of your questions and assist you in designing your perfect session.



Can we purchase more prints after our initial order?

Of course!  Additional purchases can be made at any time using our A la Carte.  Any image that has been previously ordered from is archived for years to come.  Images not ordered from will not be archived and will be deleted from our system.



How do I view my proofs?

We offer three great ways to view the previews from your session; online, in-studio using our unique HD projection system or hybrid.  Both have their advantages with our projection system being the best option. Our high definition project system allows our clients to view their portraits up to 80 inches wide, compare portraits side by side, and view their portraits in color, black & white, or sepia. Additionally, our projection system is we can show you your wall portrait in actual size down to 11×14.  But the biggest advantage of our protection system is we can show you your wall portrait on your wall in perfect proportion! With a picture of where you want to hang your wall portrait, our system will show you the best size wall portrait and how it will look in your home, finished, all before you buy! Plus, Mark is always happy to personally assistance our clients in selecting the best portraits, enhancements and packages to meet their needs.  Our hybrid option gives our clients the best of both worlds – online viewing for friends and family plus in-studio viewing with Mark’s personal assistance. Online viewing requires a deposit and applies in full towards your order.



When will my pictures be ready?

Most portrait orders are ready in approximately 3 weeks. Orders requiring artwork such as a head swap, thinning of arms, legs or waist, or removal of an object in the background, may require additional time.  Custom wall galleries, Coffee Table Books and other design items may require up to 6 weeks. Mark recommends scheduling your session in October for those wanting portraits by Christmas to allow for plenty of time should the session need to be rescheduled due to rain, or require additional processing time.



Can you deliver or mail my order when it is ready?

Sure!  We offer personal delivery to the Bryan/College Station area in addition to FedEx shipping to any location outside of BCS, shipping charges apply. Sorry, FedEx does not offer services to the BCS area from within the BCS area. Deliveries are made on Monday mornings within the BCS area at no additional charge for any regular portrait orders.
